Vincent emerged from the forest of the Island, and was the first living thing that Jack Shephard saw on the island. He later watched Jack, Kate Austen and Charlie Pace as they crossed the island in search of the cockpit of Flight 815¹.

Vincent finally returned to the beach a few days later when he was called by a whistle Locke had made. Michael then brought him back to an overjoyed Walt². The next night, Vincent warned the camp of boars foraging in the crashed fuselage³.

Vincent continued to have many adventures on the island, and was regularly seen playing with Walt on the beach – and in one case, was even hunted by a polar bear⁴.
